Firstly who doesn’t know the Beach boys. I was born way after their time but I still know of them and about the image that they portrayed while they were popular. There music is still played in popular culture or reference in some way every where. I sure each and every person in class Has seen ATLEAST one move with a Beach Boy’s song in the production.

In reading all of the different literature on Viet Nam was very eye opening. I never REALLY understood why there was so much opposition to the war back then and why people compare the war in Viet Nam to todays struggles over seas. The main thing that I came away with is that the lack of confidence and knowledge the administration had. The readings in Bloom & Breines show all sorts of short coming and fabricated ‘ideas’ of why war/intervention was needed. But who were these opinions for? the administration or the people

If someone in the administration had taken a deeper look in the meaning of the U.S.taking over the War effort would the U.S. had played such a bigger role?
